Sheers

Sheers in white, ecru and neutral shades, with or without a weighted hem. In guest rooms, they are most often paired with a blackout curtain.

Sheers: uses, fullness and care

A sheer filters daylight and preserves privacy without closing off the room. It can be hung on its own in lounges, meeting rooms and circulation areas, or in front of a blackout curtain on a double track in guest rooms. Fullness makes all the difference: allow 2 to 2.5 times the track width for an even drape, with a wave heading for soft folds or a pencil pleat heading for a more classic look. A weighted hem along the bottom keeps tall sheers steady. Sheers are not lined, unless a particular effect is wanted. Most sheer fabrics can be machine washed at 30 °C, without a spin cycle, and rehung while still damp to avoid ironing.
