Blackout curtains
Blackout fabrics for hotel guest rooms, residences and any room where light needs to be controlled. Depending on the level of darkness required, the fabric is offered on its own or with a lining.
Blackout curtains: uses, fullness and care
Blackout curtains are used first and foremost in hotel guest rooms, residences and sleeping areas, wherever sleep depends on darkness. For complete darkness, combine a dense fabric with a return to the wall and a centre overlap of around ten centimetres. The recommended fullness is 1.8 to 2 times the track width with a wave or pinch pleat heading; 1.5 times is enough with an eyelet heading on a pole. A blackout lining increases the opacity of a decorative fabric and protects its colours from the sun. As for care, most blackout fabrics can be dry-cleaned or washed at a low temperature, on a low spin setting, and ironed on a low setting if needed.
